Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using the Happenin SLC app (“the app”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. The app is operated by Happenin Labs LLC(“we,” “us”). Contact: info@happeninslc.com.

2. The service

Happenin SLC helps you discover events in the Salt Lake City area. The app is free to download and use, with an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features (see “Subscriptions and payments” below). Event listings are aggregated and curated from public sources and are provided for general informational purposes only.

3. Accuracy of event information

We work to keep listings useful, but we do not guarantee that any event detail — date, time, location, price, availability, or whether an event occurs at all — is accurate, complete, or current. Always confirm details with the event organizer or official source before making plans, traveling to a venue, or purchasing tickets.

4. Third-party links and transactions

The app links to third-party websites and services (for example Instagram, ticket sellers, event pages, and map providers). We don’t control and aren’t responsible for their content, policies, availability, or any transaction you enter into with them. Purchases you make through a third party are solely between you and that third party.

5. Subscriptions and payments

The app is free to use for This Week’s Picks and near-term events. An optional subscription (a single “all access” tier) unlocks premium features, such as browsing the full range of events beyond the free window and full search. If you purchase a subscription, the following terms apply.

Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account and is processed by the applicable app store under its own terms. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.

Free trials. If a free trial is offered, it automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Managing and cancelling.You manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by the app store under its refund policy; we generally do not issue refunds directly.

Price changes. Prices may change. Changes apply to future billing periods, and we will provide notice and/or seek renewed consent where the app store or applicable law requires it.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the app to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or interfere with, scrape, overload, or disrupt the app or its underlying API.

7. Intellectual property

The app, the “Happenin SLC” / @happeninslc brand, its design, and original content are owned by Happenin Labs LLC and protected by applicable laws. Event information may belong to its respective organizers and sources.

8. “As is”

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happenin Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app or from reliance on any event information, including a missed, cancelled, changed, or misdescribed event.

10. Changes

We may modify or discontinue the app, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We’ll revise the effective date above.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Utah.

12. Apple / Google

Your use is also subject to the applicable app store’s terms (Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and/or Google Play’s terms). Where those store terms grant the store rights as a third-party beneficiary, those rights apply.
